Firstly...hands up if you havent checked out the semi-finals?

Good, everyone....wait...what? You got your hand up? Of all people, I didn't expect that from you, and quite frankly, I am a little embarrassed and disappointed. Put your hand down...everyone, stop looking at them, let's not single them out.

No...don't point and laugh. Maybe they have a good excuse. In either case, here is the link to the semi-final to check out all the entries. [link]

Please...don't let this happen again...

Ok! Fun and games over! What a semi-final! Am I right?

A really fun stage to play with and you can see that the artists maybe had some difficulty, maybe could have been out of their comfort zones, but in the end worked good stories and had fun with it, and that is the main thing.

This certainly wasn't easy. This is the cream of the crop this year, and was never going to be easy to decide a winner. They were all very, VERY, close fought fights. Being this far in the game, I had to be picky. Any flaws that I could let slide in previous rounds couldn't slide here. Every point counted, and I really don't enjoy this part of AFL, ending the journey of fighters.

But the tournament needs a champion, and for that, we need 2 finalists.

So...the fighters to battle it out in this years AFL final are:

Commiserations to the losing semi-finalists:
:iconpaladinsparkknight: and :iconalecyl:
I have loved you guys throughout the tournament with fun stories and amazing pieces of artwork. You have both deserved to be in the top 4 of this tournament and it saddens me to eliminate you and deny you a place in the final, but I hope you can understand that there must be winners and losers in each round and judging this is not an easy task, especially when it gets personal with people you know and talk to, and artists you respect a great deal.

Ok, enough mushy stuff, we have a final to host!

You thought this tournament has been tough? Well...

The Final
Welcome to Hel!

It would be unfair to not honour a past AFL champion with their own arena and this is Hel's, our AFL 4 Queen.

The fighters have boarded Hel's spaceship and have stumbled upon her training simulation room. It looks as if the fighters are merely floating in space, as stars, planets and asteroids surround the warriors. But they are very much grounded on an indestructible, gladd like floor that has a blue light grid to it.

We all know Hel was a brilliant inventor and had a gadget to get out of any situation. And she seems to have left a lot of her inventory in this training room. There are sensors, lasers, forcefields, gravity guns, portal guns big giant robots...it's kinda like the danger room in X-men now that I think of it.

Wait.

We were just IN the x-men mansion! Why the f**k have we blown to budget launching these f***ers into space!? I could have used that money on some ****** and ***** and finally settled that ******** ****!

Ahem...where was I?

Oh yes...in f****in' space...

So, Hel has an arsenal of weapons available for the AFL fighters, and interactive consoles to manipulate the arena to the fighters will. If they wish for some cover to pop-up as they plot their next move, they can initiate it thanks to a gauntlet type gadget on their forearm, much like Hel wore.

Anything possible in terms of technology and gadgets are available to them. While the setting may be serene, the combat inside is designed to be anything but.

Like I said...welcome to Hel.

To make clear, do not follow the instructions in the deviation comments of Hel's arena, but of what I have stated in this journal.

Have fun.
