Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

AFL5 - Fight 1 - Second Page *Updates!*

And so, it begins.
The moment you have been waiting for. AngelCrusher may have been murdered, but he would have wanted his tournament to continue and would be pleased so many answered to the invitations.

All the fighters are gather in what was...is AngelCrusher's castle, in the wake of his funeral. A gong echoes throughout the cold hard walls of the gothic structure gaining the attention of all who inhabit it. The fighter's attention turn to a balcony, where, out of the shadows steps a masked, mysterious stranger in a hood.

It is the new AngelCrusher.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to AFL 5!
Some of you didn't think you would see the day. That AFL was as dead as it's original creator. Some of you expected him to rise from his grave in a lame publicity stunt for this tournament.

Well, you were wrong.

I am the new AngelCrusher, your new fight organizer. Today marks a new day of AFL, and I for one promise to make this the greatest tournament you have ever seen. To make the greatest champion that has ever graced these tournaments. By the time AFL 5 finishes, you will all quickly forget about that has-been, and worship me as your new leader of this fighting chaos."

The fighters all look at each other, and up at the new AngelCrusher, confused and offended by his crass statements. He certainly seems to be enjoying the spotlight as he leans over the balcony, with a sadistic grin on his skull marked face.

"Oh, by the way, what better time to liven this party than to start the tournament, right now!"

And with that gesture, AC drops down a canvas sheet over the balcony, which unravels and reveals the fighters in the room paired against their opponents. He smirks as he watches the shock of everyone in the room...I guess it really does begin now.


Fight 1
AngelCrusher's Lair
It was the grand final arena in AFL 4, and a fitting start to AFL 5. Now a building full of history, memory and character of the now fallen AC, the gothic castle is a constant reminder of the once ruler of the tournament, and seemed a suiting place to host the wake of the AFL creator.
The fight can take place anywhere in the castle, or outside of it. You may include any other character in your fight as they are all present at this moment in time competing in their own fights. AngelCrusher's castle is like royalty, but also quite dark and twisted. Imagine some gothic decor, gargoyles, dungeons etc. Not forgetting things that AC would have in there himself, like a wrestling ring for his training, a trophy room and other stuff of interest.
