And it all has come to this. From the 60 fighters who signed up for one of the most intense and unforgiving fighting tournaments ever to grace deviantArt, we have been left with 2 extraordinary fighters, in one extraordinary final which will determine who will be the first ever 1 Dollar Fighter Champion.
We waited for something special, and both fighters delivered. So now, let's deliver the verdict...

Round 5 - Gladiators...Ready!

Top Bracket
An incredible piece that sees Spitfire and Fisticuffs don gladiatorial outfits especially for this epic battle as many previous fighters from the tournament watch on to see who will be determined 1DF Champion. An excellent fight with great composition, amazing detail in the background and characters, as well as great colouring makes this an epic final fight from an epic fighter and artist.
Bottom Bracket
An extraordinary piece of work that is baffling to behold as Fisticuffs and Spitfire turn the tables on AngelCrusher's grand fighting tournament. A lovely idea to follow the journey that these fighters have been through, and amazing piece of work as these warriors fight their way through a horde of previous fighters. An brilliantly thought out and executed image that combines the complexity of action and composition to make the image not feel static, and yet also not too chaotic that it doesn't make sense.
The DecisionTwo brilliant fights that are certainly lived up to the expectation of this epic final. Both artists must be applauded for their hard work in getting images like these completed within the short deadline, and are both deserved winners. However, only one can wear the crown.
Spitfire's fight was a brilliant and gorgeous image that certainly captures the grandeur of this occasion. What it lacks in its originality is makes up with its beauty with an amazing amount of detail and hard work to produce such an image. Fisticuffs fight is equally brilliant, and shows a more raw, dirty look to this fight with a more hectic scene. Amazing drawing and planning to figure out all the posing, positioning and action to get a well composed image, which does however lack in background detail and colouring.
So, who wins?

8, 10, 10 = 28

9, 9.5, 10 = 28.5
It couldn't get any closer. The inclusion of AngelCrusher added that 0.5. I kid of course. Both these fight images were incredible, and such a high standard that of course I had to be brutally critical. Kostmeyer scores high for a well detailed, composed and coloured image, but is let down with the image feeling slightly static, slightly with the main figures, and more so with the fighters in the background observing yet showing not much character.
Jebriodo scores high for a well detailed, drawn and composed shot that is filled with action, but is let down by the colouring and background. However your eyes are drawn into the detail of the fight itself, with your eyes wandering around looking at all the fighters getting a beating that the background doesnt overpower a very powerful image.
But what really wins the fight is the originality of the piece. Jeb tells a story in the fight that seems to close the door and sum up the 1DF journey. 2 fighters who had enough of the fighting, being overpowered for someone else's entertainment. 1DF has tried to underlay a story to explain why the fighters traveled from arena to arena, and this piece creates its own story that simply adds to the journey we have all followed.

says: "If you think that both of them a DD is a good idea I looked up some infos.
Who is featureing DDs? [link]
Since it will be both Digital work I think we should note `JunkbyJen & `archanN
How to suggest a DD? [link]
I just checked about older DDs. Both had one, both more than 3 months ago.
Last but not least if someone is going to suggest one or even both of the pics for a DD they should not forget to explain why they think it deserves a DD.
I know lately there are rarely any explanations under the DDs but I think it's better to make the point clear.----------------------------------------------------------------------
