As I mentioned previously, a great turnout for June's theme, so thanks to everyone who took part.
Off subject, but just to let you all know I got my results for graduating my animation course and I passed with a First Class with Honours. SO I am chuffed. The networking in London yesterday wasn't that great, talked to a few people, but it was mainly computer animation or digital artists that were getting attention. So theres a thought if you havent decided what you want to go into.
July's ThemeIt's official! AFL sign-up month begins NOW!!!! Send me a link with which character you are entering with a good reference image for other artists to use.
*The AFL is a fighting tournament that pits original characters fighting one another. The winner of the AFL will have their character highlighted for one month as September's theme, with everyone drawing that character. They will also receive a special gift from myself. The tournament will be constructed differently from last time, as I will reveal later on.*But to get you in the swing of things, this month's theme is AFL related.
July's Theme is... AFL Poster! If you are in the AFL, make a promotional poster with your character in it promoting themselves and the AFL.
If you are not in the AFL, maybe you can make a poster with one of your favourite characters taking part...maybe your dream match of characters going face to face, maybe incorporate AngelCrusher into it. Or you can have your character supporting the AFL as a fan.
July Entries
If you have any ideas for the AFL, maybe you would like to see special segments, like interviews...you could be the official interviewer! Maybe you would like to just produce fanart of your fave AFL characters, or be an AFL cheerleader.
I am also looking for judges to decide the matches, but there are stipulations for being a judge:
*You must be online on dA regularly, preferably daily
*You cannot take part in AFL with a character
*You must not be biased, and judge a fight on originality and creativity, and not just quality
Send me a note if you would like to be a judge. I am only looking for maybe 2-4 judges...to bring the total to either 3 or 5. So get in touch.
