This image is the one year celebration of my most popular deviation, in which I had Homer Simpson fight Peter Griffin [link] . So I thought I would mark the anniversary with an even more epic fight.

People seem to love my avatar of Zoidberg as Davy Jones, and with Pirates of the Caribbean out, it seemed like a great thing to do. I think this is the most detail I have crammed into a picture, not just the characters, but the background aswell.

heh, thanks very much. I debated making it look flat on with just homer and zoidberg, but i thought this angle was more interesting :)

You've just created the image that will surpass Homer v Peter methinks. Simpsons, Futurama AND Pirates? Oh my!

Seriously though man, this rocks. Love the work on the main two figures, but all the background stuff rules too.

Thats what I was hoping. At first it was just going to be the 2 of them, but then I thought it would be cool to put the whole cast in there fighting each other, like you said, to keep the piece interesting.

I just hope people like it or just look at it. I guess the thumb aint great because you cant make out the characters.

thanks very much man. Seriously, the drawing and inking took forever, and so did the colours. It was just coincidence that it was one year on from Homer V Peter when I was about to post it.

glad you like it though buddy. I dunno whether it will surpass the juggernaut of the other piece, because the thumb for that is instantly recognisable as homer and peter, and this is hard to see, so people may just miss it. Homer V Peter got crazy popular within the first few minutes of posting it. :s

I loved cracking in all the detail into homer and zoidberg though.

I think they will. It's true the thumb kinda sucks but at the same time there's enough there to pique people's interest. I think once people start waking up in the US it'll get all over ;)

yeh, thats the thing. I dunno when is the best time to post. in the UK, i post in the morning to get the most time, but the US is 5 hours behind so they are asleep. I wanted to post it about 1am my time, but for some reason it then says that I posted it like the day before.

It looks superb mate! Homer is my favourite cartoon character and you've made him look great as Jack Sparrow! I can't stop looking at it. It's great! :worship:
