This is my animation of a bird that I did in my first year of animation uni. It was required to take off, link into a flight cycle and then land. This was a very frustrating project, birds hard to draw flying! I had problems with proportions near the end because I rushed it. :s

If my memory serves correct (this was around 7 or more years ago) this animation was predominantly shot on 2s, so would be around 12 drawings for every second give or take.

thanks alot. Yep, all traditional handdrawn pencil on paper. A lot of paper, but not as much as the amount of paper I used making my films....literally thousands. ^_^

when its a uni project deadline, you got to rush. This was also 4 years ago. I could probably animate this in an hour or two now. :)

Good luck. the US have excellent animation courses so you should have brilliant teaching. Good luck with it.

Thanks very much buddy. It was one of my first animations, I got a bunch in my gallery. I have even made 2D animated short films with colour in too. A lot of hard work, but worth it just to say you made a film. :)

haha, its all traditional pencil on paper drawing, then shot and filmed into a computer. I cant remember how many drawings went into this man, but i think it took a week to do. Then again, that was my first year of animation, so I was a rookie back then. ;)
